Looking Back | Pushing Forward

How can Christmas be over and we're less than 48 hours away from 2015?! I feel like November and December flew by... the past two months certainly kept us on our toes with an insane amount of sessions, projects and editing. With that said, I fell behind on blog posts (oops!), so I put together a review of [some of] our favorite photos from our 2014 sessions and weddings.

But before getting to those, I want to share some of our proudest accomplishments from 2014, along with the goals and plans that we have for the year to come. Some of our goals from this past year seem quite small, but everything took a lot of work and dedication. I never thought that we'd be able to do all that we did this past year.

Accomplishments of 2014

-became a full time photographer (YAY!)

-reached my goal number of weddings

-surpassed my goal number of sessions

-attended a conference with the Rocky Mountain School of Photography

-participated in my first bridal show

-set up online viewing/sharing/downloading (after months of looking for the right company)

-completed a photography project in Haiti with 127 Worldwide

-became an official S Corp (wohoo!)

Goals/Plans for 2015

-participate in 2-3 bridal shows (we already have one set up and we're looking into another)

-continue our partnership and fundraising with/for 127 Worldwide

-increase the amount of weddings from 2014 by 75% (I'm already almost there!)

-get more involved in local photo walks and gatherings with other Wichita photographers (at least once a quarter)

-start gathering ideas/making a plan for my next orphan related photography project

-set up online print ordering

So thank you to my husband (and second shooter), my family, friends and all of the amazing people I had the chance to work with this year (both new and old). I'm forever grateful that so many people want us to capture important events and moments in their lives. Daily I am humbled by the kind words and encouragement that so many clients bring to me. I love people, I love being creative and I love love... I'm so lucky to have a job where I get to be surrounded by these three things. I hope to see you again next year for a session, and if we've never met, I hope we can soon. Be blessed and have a HAPPY New Year!
